CDC Workers Celebrate Labour Day

Workers of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) on May 1, 2017 joined the international community to commemorate the 131st edition of the International Labour Day.

 

After a colourful match pass at the Manga Williams Avenue in Limbe, the workers converged at the SS Club in Bota for part two of the celebrations. While at SS Club, the workers were called upon by the General Manager (GM) to redouble their efforts in whatever they do as workers of the Corporation. Mr Franklin Ngoni Njie said working harder means increase in productivity which will result to investment, a future guarantee to better working and living conditions for the workers.

Earlier on at the Manga Williams Avenue, the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Fako Zang III emphasized the need for social dialogue as prerequisite for a smooth working environment. He urged the workers to assist the government in its development strives by saying “No to Ghost Towns”. The SDO congratulated all 40 Labour Medal recipients and urged others to emulate their example.
