The Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) is an Agro-Industrial Enterprise incorporated in 1947 to acquire, develop and operate extensive plantations of tropical crops. CDC is solely owned by the State of Cameroon, under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The share capital is 53,503,180,084 billion FCFA.
The Corporation grows three tropical crops namely Rubber, Oil Palm and Banana, in the Littoral and South West Regions. From these crops, it produces semi finished high quality rubber, palm oil, palm kernel, palm kernel oil and top grade edible banana for local and export markets.
The plantations cover a total area of 42,027 Hectares distributed as follows:
Rubber – 22,262 Ha
Oil Palm- 15,240 Ha
Banana – 4,525 Ha
CDC has a total of 22,036 workers of which 18,989 are permanent
