The South West Regional Agro pastoral Show that held from the 17th – 19th December, was largely attended by farmers across the six divisions of the Region.
The Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC), a market leader in the agro industry in Cameroon was an active participant at the 2015 South West Regional Agro pastoral Show. The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development H.E Henri Eyebe Ayissi who presided over the event described the South West Region as the bread basket of Cameroon.
The CDC’s stand was manned by the Technical Adviser to the General Manager in charge of Agriculture. The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development visited the CDC stand in the presence of the General Manager of the CDC Mr Franklin Ngoni Njie and top managers of the corporation. The Minister admired the beauty of the products displayed on the corporation’s stand as he was briefed on the CDC’s three crops: Rubber, Palms and Banana. He said the corporation has the capacity to promote and implement second generation agriculture as instructed by the Head of State, H.E Paul Biya.
At the end of the event, 600 farmers were awarded prizes. Special prizes were given by the Minister to two cocoa and cassava exhibitors for the quality of their produce.
